Happy New Year At Last!

I may be late to the table but I’m here. I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that all is well.
In the interest of giving my readers more of what they say they are looking for I’ll be bringing you more food related tips and ideas for feeding yourself healthy. I’m also finding more and more reasons–in the form of more and more women I meet who I think need to be around on this planet for a long time–to write about women’s heart health. Heart disease is the number one killer of women and men’s and women’s hearts, like all our other parts, are so different.

My first recommendation is to get those tests we so often can’t seem to make time for. I’ll be posting about the newest ones to consider having and those to avoid but in case you have forgotten the basics and when to start getting them and how often check out this schedule.
It’s a simple chart you can use to make sure you are up to date on your screenings or see what you might be missing.

Here’s to your health, power and joy. I hope you’ll join me in creating the healthiest body and mind ever in 2008. It’s simple to do and I’m going to show you how.
