If the schools do make the vaccine mandatory there are things you can do to mitigate the potential danger. Your son is at greater risk of side effects because of PDD. I've never taken a flu shot not do I insist on using all the bacteria killing products that have flooded the marketplace. I think our bodies build resistance on their own and too much of that stuff weakens our immune system rather than making it stronger.
