This Valentine’s Day I decided that the hubby deserved a little more excitement than the same old heart shaped box of chocolates. Since this is a sassy women’s blog I can speak openly (and he’s 9 years younger than I) so you’ll be happy to know that indeed that category was covered but I also wanted to give him something sweet to eat. And there is just no way to talk about valentine’s day without sexual overtones is there?

Eat as in candy, or a special dessert cause he’s got a big time sweet tooth. As luck would have it I was introduced to this fortune cookie company in plenty of time to get a custom designed GIANT fortune cookie sent to him. GoodFortunes.comFortune Cookies is a custom cookie and sweets company. The fortune cookie thing is cool because you get to write whatever fortune you want and they print it up on a foot long piece of paper. It’s baked in just like a fortune cookie from your local Chinese restaurant. But this is no plain cookie. I chose one dipped in caramel and toffee bits–his two favorite flavors. And it’s huge. You can see by the photo how much bigger than the usual ones.

It was a hit to be sure and 3 days later we were still nibbling bits off of it. The cookie itself was crispy and exactly like the small ones of the best quality. I got good wife points for being creative–in the ordering category thank you–and hubby got a personal love note wrapped in caramel. And the biggest bonus for me? I didn’t have to bake it.

This company’s offerings may be my new favorite feelbetter or I Love You gifts.
