“Memory is a crazy woman who hoards colored rags and throws away food.”

Too many years ago to actually remember the number I bought a card with that quote written on it.

I have no idea why it spoke so loudly to me at the time, and sticks with me still, but I have moved this card around to each new home, each cleaning out of files it survives and now lives in the card file. You know, the files that hold those cards you buy when you don’t need that exact card but you can’t pass it up?

I know I’ll never give it to anyone, or at least for now I don’t think I’m able to part with. But at least I can share the thought.

Austin O’Malley, who ever you are and where ever you reside, thanks.
